Default OK without any RamSinks?
hey guys, i was wondering if it would be OK to run my vid card without any ramsinks. the card has 16unlocked pipes, not overclocked.

I don't know personally (think it might since no OC) but since ram sinks are generally cheap and they would be worth while...

i have ramsinks, but i just dont have thermal tape.. i plan on going without ramsinks for about a week.

You can OC or not OC just fine without them.

You can usually get a pretty decent extra sized OC with over without them though, as well.

I just don't have the money to buy 'em. Will be getting them if I decided to get aftermarket cooling for my GPU though.

Im running my 7900gt with out ram sinks right now, I need to get some thermal tape cause I took them off the card I RMA'd but the card I got back didn't have any thing on the RAM at all so I would say its okay to run with out them.

You should be good for a week. But if it starts artifacting then stop using it till you get those sinks on or maybe actually UNDERclock it till then, if you're having problems.
