Default Reapplying Arctic 5 on VF900 install/ ramsink ceramic based cream?

I thought that I should, but should I clean my core with rubbing alcohol and reapply the Arctic 5 when I get my VF900 in? Also, is there any cream that I should add to my order that is applied between the ramsinks and the RAM, like ceramic (or some non-conductive) cream?
I read the similar threads, but I think that they are a bit different than my ?
Thanks guys!

Ok nevermind I see on the Zalman site that I should reapply the thermal compound, and the RAMsinks stick on somehow....but is there some thermal conductive material that I can add to fill in the microscopic gaps bw the RAMsinks and the RAM without shorting out my RAM or PCB?

Well yes you need to clean off the old thermal compound using Rubbing alcohol and reapply a better thermal compound such as AS5. As for ramsinks you want THERMAL ADHESIVE so that they stick..Using cream or compound wont hold them on.

The VF900 will come with RAM sinks that have adhesive already on them.

And, as ENTERPRISE1701 stated, clean all surfaces w/ a high-percentage alcohol or a xylene-based cleaner.

The RAM sinks won't really require a TIC. The adhesive works in the respect. If you plan on doing a volt-mod to the GPU or RAM, then see if you can get a fan to send air across the heatsinks:

Good luck!

Thermal compound wouldnt let the RAM sinks Stick anyway...Thermal Adhesive FTW

OK I've already cleaned the core with rubbing alcohol when I first bought the card, I just was making sure that cleaning it off again was neccessary, as I know that it cools better once it breaks in and seats with the GPU, I'm assuming that the repeated heat cycles allow some of the silver particles to bond with the spaces in the silicon GPU wafer...thanks for the help!
