Question Enabling Zalman 700Cu SILENT MODE

Hi, I recently purchased a Zalman 700Cu for my X800GTO2.
I installed it on the card, but I can't figure out how to enable the silent mode.

First I would like to know if I plugged it in the right way to use the silent mode, since I read that it has to be plugged in a precise way: here is a photo of my computer:

I used the ZM-MC1 provided with the fan and plugged it in a unused wire of the power supply.

Also, I don't know if the silent mode is enabled automatically or if I need to use softwares like SpeedFan.

Thanks

I think that the cooler has to be plugged into the motherboard to enable silent mode. Using the molex adapter, there is no way to monitor fan speed.

VF-700 does not come with a fan controller, only the 900's. Or, at least the VF-700 I used to have didn't have one....

Slightly off topic. Some cable management is needed there!

If you had the fan Managed by the Motherboard then it would be less noisy. However your GPU may warm up..I woul Personally have it up at full.

I don't really worry about the GPU as, at the max clock speed I managed to make it go (600/600) the temps does not go beyond 55°C.
I watched the install flash movie from Zalman site:
http://www.zalman.co.kr/eng/product/...x=149&code=013

Mmmm, actually I think that you can decide which mode to use by plugging the fan in the black or white entrance, but then you can't swap between the modes... ...this is not very usefull actually ^^

Anyway, I guess my problem is solved. THANKS
And sorry for this newbie post !! :P
