It's very cold outside(-10 celcius)...I have a 12 inch tube 80mm in diameter going outside. The card temp is reading 5c and the system temp -1c. just wondering if such cold temps can hurt anything? Thanks

I dont think it will hurt it. I think the main concern would be moisture from the outside air.

Wow! I wish that I had that issue!
As xchrisposix stated: Beware of condensation.

Just get the HD555's.

If you make your room -10ºC, then there won't be any condensation.

You could switch the airflow direction and have the intake on the rear and the exhaust on the front. Then you would have a super-cooled system and a room-heater all in one.

this is true! I keep my room like +/- 4C. since its winter and I like the cold. that keeps my rig running at 25c on air. with no problems of condensation.

Room heater? That's not how it would work. It would just spit out air like 5C warmer than what it takes in..... not a very effecient heater.

I don't think I'll make my room -10c
But I have been monitoring the humidity level. about 38% now... I also have an intake fan on the front of the case which is not piped to the outside, so I think that will actually lower the humidity of the air inside the case even when the outside air gets more humid. Does that sound reasonable?
