Default How much thermal paste to use?! Help!

I'm replacing the fans on my video cards with HR-03's by thermalright (The big monster heatsinks).

how much thermal paste should i apply to the die on the video card?? It's very small so I have no idea how much to use. Just a pea sized amount just like the cpu?

1/2 if not a 1/4 of what you use on a cpu.

Just just a little dab? The instructions say to spread it evenly on the die as well as the heatsink, but that seems excessive.

Should I use AS5 or the included paste?

Use Arctic Silver 5 and put a dab in the middle, the spread it using the tip of the Arctic Silver 5 tip. It'll spread it all around. And, don't worry too much, once you put the HSF the weight of it will push it all around and get it all over the surface of the HSF and GPU.

I did just like the directions said, I put a little dab on, then got as thin a layer as possible with a credit card. It seems to be working very well.

The smaller the layer, the better. Remember, you are applying this thermal compound to fill in the microscopic "holes" that exist between the the GPU and the contacting surface of the heatsink, caused by surface inconsistencies not visible to the naked eye. I put my finger inside a ziploc bag to apply. I use about half the amount of a BB (about 0.5mm x 0.5mm x 0.5mm)
If you use too much then it will act as an insulator, trapping heat from the core before it transfers heat to the HS, as the silver is more conductive than the silicon that composes your GPU.
