Exclamation 9800 pr0 'atidvag' error- also overheating..

My new 9800 pro is hot! also having trouble with an error - file error is 'ati2dvag'- and this file is making my machine loop....not sure what to do.

maybe reset my bios- defaults. should probably also try my card in another machine to see if its the machine and not the card.....im stuck!!1
help me please...!

Very descriptive title! I almost didnt have to read the post! nice work!

in reference to your problem. Try uninstalling (but removing it physically from the machine) the card from the system. Restart the system, click cancel when it tries to install the new device.

Go to www.omegadrivers.net and download the latest ATI/WinXP drivers.

If this doesnt work, we'll try something else, but very similar.

hey xavier,

thnkx for your advice. it did work, but only for a few days. after that i just get what they call 'artifacts' when i play half life 2-...... machine sometimes just 'loops' too...have the omega driver but not making a diff........maybe i could format my system. i hope i dont have a dud card. this card was bought from a factory outlet in China...
