Default ATI x800 cooling

I'm looking to get better cooling for my Sapphire Radeon X800 GT 256MB DDR3 PCI-E R423. I looked around but got a bit confused any help would be appreciated.

For that card, a Zalman VF700 will do.

Here is what I did with a X800GTO from a friend of mine:

thanks for the advice, that one does look good. The only thing i am confused about is the power cables and such. I was reading a review and it was talking voltages and stuff is there any guides on how to plug it in or would that be included in the instructions?

Plug the fan in you mean? You just connect it to one of the 4 pin molexes from the power supply. If you use one of the black connectors that come with the Zalman fan then the fan will run at it's fastest speed and still if pretty silent. You can see a picture in my previous post of the "splitter" that is attached to the fan, use either one of the black ones to connect it to your power supply.

yea, go with the vf700. I currently use this cooler on my aiw x800xt and it works like a charm. It also comes with ram heatsinks, all you have to do is peel off the little sticky paper and stick them on your ram on the card. this cooler also creates pretty good airflow throughout the case, and like most zalman products, its super quiet!!! i would definitely recommend this cooler. It's only $35 ish, maybe around $30 i'm not sure. I bought it at my local Microcenter store, but i'm sure there are internet sites that carry it as well. Good Luck!

Another go with the VF700

If you want to save get the ALCU it was good enough on my X800Pro to X800XT.
