Default good x1900 temps?
these temps seem really good to me,

X1900GT @ 547/747 = 34C idle and 44C load.

on the stock cooler they were about 50C idle and 80C load.

yep, that cooler gives great temps - mine went from 52 idle on stock to 38 idle!

those temps are really low... try OC'ing even farther if you can

Those are great temps considering that those cards get get rather toasty.

Hi tUDJ,

On the face of things, those are good temps and overclocks. I'm not as familiar with the X1900GT, but your temps are nice. A 16C and 36C drop os very impressive!
I also think the stock speed was 600 on the GDDR3 correct? So getting 747 is really nice with the lower temps.

yup. good temps , i suppose you have revision 2. Overclock it to 574/801

thats basically the highest stable overclock that card can get with out a voltage mod. I have it running right now at idle 41 and load 52.

i'll try those speeds if i can get ATItool to work

after i got my current OC it wouldnt let me raise the clocks anymore :S

EDIT: looks like ATItool is being ok now, although when i set the clocks, it knocks it down a few.



i set that at 555.50 but it put itself down to 553.50.

45C load after 8 mins of scanning

Well it seems that i have a crappy card as far as OC'ing goes.

Anything above 555 on the Core = Artifacts within 2 mins of scanning.

Anything above 750 on the Memory gives massive artifacts of my desktop and VPU recover resets my card settings.

huge shame considering i have all the temp headroom anyone could wish for
