Default Cooling Mod

Hey all i have a 9550 and am struggling to oc it. It has the stock cheap hsf, one of those aluminum round jobbies. Well my question is I have a heatsink for a p3 kicking around, it is relatively light, and was wondering what u guys think of using super glue to mount it to the core. I have done this previously with a nb heatsink on a old board and its holding great. Or any other suggestions to mount it would be great, thanks.

well ok just pulled the stock hsf off and discovered its a open core so nuthin to super glue to. Saw that stock there was way too much thermal paste applied, so i removed the old and applied as5, still no difference in the overclock situation, so am wondering if u guys may be able to help with any suggestions.

Get a better cooler, preferably a second hand VF700

The only thing you can do to improve the stock one is indeed AS5 and wait a little for it to cure.

Try the CPU cooler... Ziptie it down and run some tests to see if it makes a difference
