Default x1950xtx cooling?

My friend has an x1950xtx that is running in the 80-90C range and locking up if it gets too close to the 90C range. He's looking for another cooling option, and I'm not sure what there is available for this. Any ideas or suggestions?

That cooler is not a beast for x1950xtx cards. It fails to out perform the stock one. I'd recommend a Thermalright HR-03 with a nice fan or a Thermaltake Tide Water.

I had a FS-V7 and stock was better, maybe different with the VF900, but I don't see to much of a difference with mine

Definitely recommend the HR-03's, took a bit of fiddling around to get them working well on my crossfire, but temps rarely hit >85.

Definitely with Antho on this one. The HR-03s are far and away the best passive cooling solution for x19xx's. Slap a fan on there and temps are even better.
