I don't use an ATI card so I am not sure about how to check the temps other than looking through the driver options or trying ati tool or something.
__________________I am using the Zalman vf900 on my 6800GT and it's truly amazing. My load temps never go over 47C! Looks like it should fit on that card so that's my recommendation.

You can check your temps through ati tool. I've never used any aftermarket cooling on my video cards, but I here alot of good things about the zalman vf900 cooler.

Your best pick is the Artic Cooling Accelero X2.
__________________Accelero X2: http://www.artic-cooling.com/vga2.php?idx=90 You will NEED this little extra plate to cool the VRM's. VRM Cooler for X1950Pro: http://www.arctic-cooling.com/vga2.p...0&data=3&disc= So buy the cooler anywhere you want but dont forget to get the VRM cooler. Here is a direct link to the Artic Cooling online parts shop: http://cgi.ebay.com/VR-Heat-Spreader...QQcmdZViewItem You can also use the VRM cooler with the VF900 if you want to. My pick would be the Accelero X2 since its much cheaper and the cooling performance is the same or in some cases a little better. Oh and to check your temps, open Catalyst Control Center, go to the Overdrive tab, check the gauge ![]()
