Default 2900 Pro - Any Coolers That Will Fit?

Seeing as this is likely to be my next card, and the main problem is it's noise - are there any 3rd party coolers for it?

Thanks - does that include a fan as well? With that would it be quiter than an 8800GTS?

I don't know about the comparison to a 8800GTS, but I do know the HR-03/R600 does not include a fan. I used an older style HR-03 on my X1950XTX without a fan with no problems. But I did have very good airflow through my case.

I have a HR-03/R600 on the way for my HD2900XT, and I did order a 92mm fan to go with it. Also I ordered a HR-11 backside cooler to try out as well. You can check them out here:

Thermalright

I found the best price for me with shipping was SVC.

I replaced the stock 2900 Pro cooler with a Zalman VF1000, keeping the original mounitng/heatspreader brackets. It runs at 80C under load at 740/1110 (DDR4) OC with RivaTuner, but is very silent.

I cant even hear my stock cooler fan and my load is 78C at 820 core... You must've done something wrong.

Then you gotta be deaf, cause I've heard it and it is REALLY noisy.

The advantage of the stock cooler is that it throws its hot air out of the case, the hr03 will dump its air under the cpu cooler. Just to check if you have enough fans on the back.

Only if you are absolutely retarded and put fan on 100%. I did that, and set it straight back to default. My fan never goes above 38% on default profile, and full load temp at that speed is 71C - constant. Sure, it's not as quiet as a zalman, but it's quiet enough for me to run computer next to my chair, with all side panels off. Plus, the warm air is thrown out the case.

Basically, the stock cooler is very good, and hard to beat, as it cools everything.
