The picture explains it all. Readings from everest suggest that the 1650 pro ( AGP) is running 61 degrees idle . Plus, its brand new out of the box
..I touched the heatsink, and i don't think that the program is giving false info, it's pretty hot to the touch. ![]() Anyone know why or :S...whats goin on ?? It's a little strange to me because my old 9600xt ran 32 idle.

Do you have excellent airflow? The X1*** chipsets have a tendency to run quite warm. If it is a Sapphire brand, pull the HSF off and apply AS5 to chip. Also, make sure that the heatsink is actually touching the chip. My first X1950Pro from them had an issue with heat, and after further investigation, the HS wasn't even touching the chip. I fixed it, but ended up RMAing to NewEgg due to squealing caps!

Hey, Is the Zalman VF-900 only for the 1950 series or can it be used on the 1650 pro ( AGP ) versions too ?... I can't seem to find any info on the 1650, there's pretty much nothing made for it .. Maybe one cooler (that i could find :P). Do you think that applying ArcticSilver 5 would help ?? or maybe taking out the small fan and putting on a 80mm one ? Thanks for the help, in advance Snip3r
