You need to rewire it with the original connector... That is what I have done. I was also surprised that they didnt supply an appropriate adapter for ATI boards

You can actually put it on the back and route the cables through a PCI slot or if you have the easy install clip things, use them, I'm using them to easily change the speed of my VF900Cu.
