As far as after market cooling of those cards... I installed 2 Zerotherm GX810's on mine and they did a great job... The main reason I didn't go with the Zalmans is due to having to open up my case to change the fan speed...
You can actually put it on the back and route the cables through a PCI slot or if you have the easy install clip things, use them, I'm using them to easily change the speed of my VF900Cu.
