Default Sapphire AIW 9800 cooling

Hi

I have a 9800 AIW card that i need to make quieter and hopefully cooler.

I have managed to build a very quiet pc and now need to tackle the vga card.

Can anyone recommend an aftermarket cooler for the AIW card as all the coolers that I have seen so far seem to be for the standard cards.

I have tried the arctic range and can not find one that actually fits.

Many thanks

Jazz

Check and see if the Zalman VF-700cu works. Its a great cooler and has quiet and turbo fans speed modes. Will give you a nice drop in temps and is quiet - only in quiet mode.

Hi

Thanks for the feedback.

The vf-700 does not fit the aiw range, the tv tuner interfers with the fins i think the only cooler that is said to fit is teh arctic rev 1 which is now obsolete, just my luck really.

Thanks

Jazz

use the arctic cooling silencer revision 3. it makes the clearance for the tv tuner and with some ramsinks under it you can run it at XT speeds and then some. just be careful when installing, i managed to snap off a capacitor due to carelessness while installing, so now i have to rma it
