Default VF900 on a HD3850

Will a Zalman VF900 be able to cool a HD3850? No overclocking will be involved and I'm looking for it to be better than the stock solution.

I would assume so seeing as the VF900 can cool the 8800GT down fairly well. The worst that can happen is the temperature will go up a little/lot.

I put one on a 3870 with a 27°c drop in idle temps from 57°c, and a 43°c drop in load temps from 90°c. I also got a significant drop in noise level.

I've read somewhere it dropped the temps from around 50/90 to 30/50 °C, so it looks good.

What do you think? I have a VF700Cu, will that make a difference on the 3850? The current temps are around 45/85°C
