I was morbidly curious in modding my 1650 (since I won't need it anymore soon) for S+G and when the cooling unit isn't attached, it won't post. Anyone tell me why? Does it notice when the heatsink/fan isn't on there? Also, how would I get around that?

b/c it heats up too quick....it takes no less then a second for those cores to almost or completely max out before shutdown...same goes with anything...if it comes with a fan and heatsink it cant run with out it b/c it generates way to much heat before electrons start going through gates then your gonna have a dead vid card...
