Ok so I have a couple of questions. First does anybody know how/if you can manually set fan speed for it.
And yes on to figuring out how to help this thing cool itself. So I've had a couple ideas as I have some spare heatsinks lying around. I noticed the back side of the card gets mighty hot so I'm thinkin maybe placing a heatsink over the cores using thermal tape and adding a few cutom cut copper sinks around the ram heatsinks on the back especially where the bridge is as it tends to get as hot as the core with the aluminum heatsink(and why did they use aluminum I don't care about the weight). You guys think that may help or hinder in cooling it, I also have fans to put on the heatsinks to help maybe dissapate the heat. I figure wc will be the way to go but any body know of some custom wb for it???

I think you can set the fan speed in ATI Tool. As for the individual heatsinks, unless they are very good heatsinks you'd probably be better with the massive unified stock heatsink.

Thx for the ATi tool info, I guess now I just have to figure out how to get it working for me.
And about the heatsinks, I wasn't gonna replace what they have I was going to add on the back side of the card.

By all means do so but getting them to stay on there may be difficult and not yield as good of results as you hope.

Hasn't Danger Den shown a prototype waterblock for this card at CES or just a bit after?

Thnx guys for the links to the blocks, looks like i might have a future project now.
Oh and I added a small heatsink over the core and added one 80mm fan blowing away from it in a upward diection in the tower and one blowing towards the mb in the space I had between the cpu hsf and the card, also managed my cable better to help airflow coming in from the bottom of the case towards the hfs fan on the gfx hsf. now believe it or not my temps have dropped to 47-48*c from 50-52*c and it cools down a good bit quicker after a few hour gaming session. I found loads to have dropped from 83*c-85*c+ to 78*c-81*c . I tried to keep my basement at an even 70*f so it may not be 100% accurate but still worth enough to me. So I figure wc will be the only way to handle 2 of the cards in CrossfireX.
