Default Worth it to use aftermarket paste?

I have a Diamond 3870, and while it stays pretty cool, I am wondering if I replaced the paste with Tuniq TX-2 that it would lower even further.

Has anyone tried this?

Most likely it would help. Manufacturer tend to glob on the paste to be sure.

in all my builds i've never used the given TIM. i've used AS5 as long as i can remeber but i've used shin etsu and that tuniq MX2 as well. right now i'm using it on my h03 vid card cooler. i lapped my HS though but it only dropped 2c. clean off theold tim and apply the tuniq you never know there could be a diff. in temp

You'd probably shave off a degree or 2 but it's hardly worth the effort with those temps.
