I can't get Riva to throttle my fan speed correctly. I changed the "AutoFanSpeedControl" variable to 3, and I set it to "Auto" with the fan speed adjustments made. Still won't throttle! It just sits there at 25% being an idiot.

the above guide shold help and its better if you adjust the fan speeds that way.
i would just add that rather than using temperature for fan speed,as shown in the guide,use the core speed if you have the low power 2D clocks,

It was all well and good until it expected me to leave Riva tuner open, a program which doesn't even minimize, much less go to the system tray.



I'll try ATITool. EDIT: ATITool fails, too.

There is a option in there that sends it to the system tray when opening. I don't have it installed now or i'd give you directions.
