Default 3870: stock or VF900-Cu?

Hey there

I just got myself a brand new HIS HD3870. It's got a pretty neat dual-slot cooling solution. I was wondering if a Zalman VF900-Cu would improve the temps on this board (the temps with auto fan speed are 45 idle and 55 under load - with the fan never going past 50%).

Thanks!

You might see a few degrees difference, though dual slot cool is pretty much good enough.

I have some VF900 cu's just laying around. Tried one on my 3870. The silence was the best thing ever But as I Vmod'ed mye 3870 and OC'd it, the VF900 just could not keep up with the stock (Sounds like a jet taking off thogh)

So if ure running at stock speeds or just minor OC's (Without volt mod) This cooler is good. Especially cuz of the silent operation even at 100%
