Hey there
__________________I just got myself a brand new HIS HD3870. It's got a pretty neat dual-slot cooling solution. I was wondering if a Zalman VF900-Cu would improve the temps on this board (the temps with auto fan speed are 45 idle and 55 under load - with the fan never going past 50%). Thanks!

You might see a few degrees difference, though dual slot cool is pretty much good enough.

Stay with stock. I have and with my fans @ 60 I never see load temps over 55c

I have some VF900 cu's just laying around. Tried one on my 3870. The silence was the best thing ever
__________________ But as I Vmod'ed mye 3870 and OC'd it, the VF900 just could not keep up with the stock (Sounds like a jet taking off thogh)So if ure running at stock speeds or just minor OC's (Without volt mod) This cooler is good. Especially cuz of the silent operation even at 100%
