Default Cooling advice for 4870 CF G/Card
I am a nublet when it comes to overclocking, so am looking for some advice/recommendations on my proposed build.

ASUS M3A32-MVP Deluxe AM2 AMD 790FX ATX MOBO
AMD Phenom 9850 2.5GHz 4 x 512KB L2 Cache 2MB L3 Cache Socket AM2+ 125W Quad-Core Processor
PALIT (if i can get hold of one in australia) or Visiontek or HIS (cheaper for some reason?) 4870 CF G/Card
COSMOS 1000 or SRC-1100 Case
G.Skill 4GB RAM
WD or Corsair PSU (eg CMPSU 750 TX)

I would like some advice on CPU and GPU cooling fans for this set up. I will be adding another 4870 in the near future for crossfire. Primarily the build is for gaming (EVE Online).

Have had good advice for the CPU from these forums, and am looking now for cooling of the GPU and case in general.

Honestly, you'd be better off with an Intel quad. I'm an AMD/ATI guy myself, but the Intel quads are a lot faster and equally priced to AMD's quads.

For the HD4870, use a ThermalRight HR-03GT. Works great on my card, cut the temps in half

In regards to cooling for the gpu this is a fix for time being on stock coolers for the 4870/50 posted by Benny99(40-50% fan speed should get you down to 40C idle)

And I would agree with Mootsfox that Intel Quad is the way to go if you plan on extreme performance and overclocking basically sums up to getting the most out of your $$$.

I also agree but i still want to try the X4 9850 BE for my self!
I know its not gona come close to my 3.9GHz quad.
But still i bet the BE has a crap load of power!
