Default 4850 Fan work around not working with leaked ATI Driver?

It no longer works for me, anyone else have this problem?

Hmm, well after trying to activate the profile numerous times it started working after about the 9th try.

Default

I applied the drivers, and then added profiles and everything worked. I never had profiles before, I used to edit the profile.xml file and then restart my pc, then I read about profiles and added them
