Default will this cooler work with Diamond HD 4850?

will a Zalman VF1000 LED fit and work on a 4850?

by the looks of it yes, but it does not have anything for ram or etc, which should concern you

1) A good cpu cooler not too many people know about -> XIGMATEK HDT-S1283 | AKA OCZ Vendetta 2
2) The 8 PIN power connector on the MOBO is 2x 4pin power connectors combined in parallel to draw more power safely. 1x 4pin power plug will work, but you should think of an upgrade.
3) If you're running x64 OS and have more than 3GB ram installed but windows is only reporting around 3GB, Go into your bios and enable Memory remapping.

I have the VF1000 and the GV1000 (the nickel plated one) and they both come with RAMsinks so he should be fine for the RAM. Please look around more before making a dumb assumption. ^_^



Although they don't have any heatsinks for the VRM's, but you could just buy an extra pack of RAMsinks to cover the VRM's with.

lol i thought about that acutally.

but at that height of the GPU heatsink can you place the ram-sinks UNDER it?

Yes, of course you can. It's made so that the fan pushes air through the heatsinks's fins then to the RAMsinks, helping to dissipate the heat in them.

Just think about it: Why would they even include RAMsinks if you couldn't use them?
