Default VF900 to 4850 fan header?

First post! All of the information I've found has answered my other 284 questions... Now just one that eludes me:

I simply want to mod the zalman 3 pin connector to work on the ATI stock header (using the stock 4 pin connector).

If I wanted to cut and solder the wires from the 3 wire Zalman cooler to the 4 pin ATI stock connector which wires would go where? I think I've got the ATI wires mapped:

Black: Ground
Red: Power/12V
Yellow: Speed/RPM
Blue: PWM Control

No idea what the VF900 wire mapping is!

So, I would connect the Black > Black, Red > Red....

Where would the white Zalman wire get connected to? I am assuming that this wire is the speed control, so I figured it would go to the yellow ATI wire.

I'm not concerned if it runs at 100% as the VF900 is nice and quiet.

Any help would be much appreciated!

P.S. Can I still adjust the fan speed using the ATI control panel (or fanspeed .xml file mod)? I know I won't have the automatic temperature adjustment, but can I at least adjust the fan speed %/RPM using the software (once I have it wired correctly)?

I'm sorry I can't help with the pinout (try Google if you haven't already), but I don have another tip. I have the VF900 power going to one of the motherboard headers. That way, I can get RPM data, and control it with Speedfan. Just thought you might want to know.

Yeah... I know I could have (and more than likely should have) connected it to the mobo but I wanted to keep it "stock" looking.

I may have gotten it correct though... I took a look at the new Sapphire 4850 Toxic edition (googled it) and looked at the makeshift wiring they had in the photos.... Based on zooming in on the photos I came up with the following:

Sapphire Black > Zalman Black
Sapphire Yellow > Zalman Red
Sapphire Green > Zalman White

And based on the pin locations:

Sapphire Black = Visiontek Black
Sapphire Yellow = Visiontek Red
Sapphire Green = Visiontek Yellow

So...Assuming again, that the pin locations on the sapphire are identical to the pin locations (in the fan header) on the Visiontek:

Visiontek Black = Zalman Black
Visiontek Red = Zalman Red
Visiontek Yellow = Zalman White

Hopefully all will go well (I have not yet assembled the new PC yet).

Wow... Really long post for wiring diagrams, no?
