I'm not too sure about clearance with the CPU cooler if the closest card gets the HR03+fan is mounted on the top of it... you'd have to put the cpu cooler facing to the top of the case (instead that facing to the back of the case)...

Does any one have measurements on the thickness of the base of the HR-03??

Did measure the inside of my computer and from the vga pcb to the cpu cooler its about 7cm (2.75 inches) and according to the measurements on Thermalright homepage the HR-03GT is 5.1cm tall so its a close one. It all falls on how thick the base is and how thick the core of the vidcard is.

Looking for my usb cable for my camera so cant upload pictures right now.

So now I got a few pictures.

Dont mind the dust. Havent had time to clean the case this month. As you can see its about 7cm from vga to cooler.

I emailed Thermalright about fitting 2x HR-03's with fans to 2x 4870's and this is their reply and a picture for reference:

Thank for your mail.

Yes, but you might encounter one problem, the stock sound card can only be used on this motherboard, on the first PCI-E x 1 slot, can not and never be applied onto other PCI-E slot.

We have attached one picture for your reference.

The user have bought a thirty party sound card to give way for the HR-03GT on two HD 4870..

Best regards

Still unsure whether I will go this way or or wait for the T-Rad2.

The Thermalright setup looks cool..........

Here's a pic of my sort of passive HR-03's on HD3870's fitted to my P5E. No room to mount fan's on the cards. But, the 120mm fans directly in front of both cards blowing rearwards work a treat. Should work fine with a decent airflow. Lower card does get hotter, but not by much.

How big is the space between the two cards. Think it can work with two lowprofile fans like this one.

Scythe "KAZE JYU SLIM" 100mm case fan
and maybe this one

Yeah seen that build on the EVGA website they will fit but pointed out the guy is switching to the T-Rads as the bottom pulls air in to the PSU
