It doesn't work. I've tried reloading the profile multiple times. My fan is stuck at 40%.
Does it matter at all that I'm using an HD4870x2 instead of a HD4870?

Same here, i've tried the hack, but my fan stuck at 34%..
__________________And the speed is only 1 rpm, it's all shown by GPU-Z.. Is anything wrong here?

Does this 'hack' do anything different then setting the fan speed from the Catalyst Control Center? I only ask since my card is sitting at 51C while just displaying the Windows desktop. Getting it cooler would be great. When playing WoW in a raid, it gets up to 75C
