Default My 4850 and Duorb

Well, I would like to say that I am rather proud of myself. From adding a case fan to routing some cables and putting on my duorb, I feel like I am in complete control of my computer. It is a nice feeling.

So here is my duorb. I used the included heatsinks towards the back and some others I got for the memory chips. Overall, it is great. My temps have gone from 50 idle, 65-70 load all the way to 34 idle, and 40 under load. And that is overclocked to 700, 1175. I am very impressed.

I can't believe how cool it is running. I feel like I should turn off some fans so it looks normal again.

I know, I was just kidding. It is like seeing your speedometer in your car going downhill. For how your card sounds and how hard you are pushing on the pedal, there is no way you are going that fast. But in reality you are. The car is my card, and the hill is the heatsink. I love it.

Yeah, I think it was $42 or so at Fry's. I noticed newegg was cheaper but then the shipping kills you. Sometimes you just need it right away. But is sweet, and doesn't take much room. Another note, I used arctic silver 5. That probably helps too.

i'm hoping the duorb i bought will be enough for my 4870, i'll just put a case fan blowing on it if i'm not happy with the temps. And i might hack&slash parts of the stock HSF use some of it
