hey ocn,
I bought a Duorb for my 4870, and it got me thinking, the 4870's heat sink looks much beefier than the 3870. and as far as i know they use the same mounting holes. do you think it would be an easy install? or would i have to do more hack&slash than i bargained for tools at my disposal 1: hacksaw 2: Tin snips 3: micro screwdriver set 4: AS5 5: extra ramsinks

The memory, VRM, and other IC location are probably different. The work to mod all those points would negate any gains.
