why dont u stick with the stock cooler? its one of the best out for the card... grunion had an aftermarket and it ended up being hotter than the stock one...

You just shouldn't go with the cheapest one, if you really care about your gfx. Other good options are the zalman vf1000 or the thermalright H03, but I don't remember if they support the 4870 .

edit
the thermalright t-rad2 is supported by 4870, have a look at it.

I managed to find a review of the twin turbo in another forum. It looks like a good performer and is compatible with the 4870.

you'll need better case ventilation if you get that twin turbo. i think people forget that the stock 4870 cooler throws all the hot air out of the case, instead of just circulating it inside the case.

The Accelero S1 rev.2 should work great. Have it on my HD4850 and load temps never get above 52*C with a single 120mm fan.

I have myself a T-Rad2 and 4870 and wish I could give you some temps, but my rig isn't anywhere close to together and won't be for a few weeks. I'm waiting until I move to put it together. I can tell you the T-Rad2 looks like it will help out a lot. It's massive.
