Default Question: Modifying fan startup (HD4780 /w TwinTurbo)

When I start my PC it boots directly to the Windows Login screen until I sign into my user account. Only when I log into my user account does RivaTuner apply the 75% fan speed to my GPU. So, until I login the GPU sits there with NO fans running on the cooler. Is there a way to have the fans kick on after the post screen?

I would hate for a roommate to turn on my computer and then never login and let my GPU burn with no cooling.

This is on a VisionTek 4870 with Accelero TwinTurbo cooler. Thanks for the insight.

The new catalyst drivers (8.10) will now have a fan control option. Then it would be set to the fan and not a third party program, if I understand it right.

I see the beta drives were leaked I wonder when release candidate is ready? I wonder how the fan control will work. Is it going to be applied at the software level or will it directly change the BIOS settings for the fans?

I think the final candidate is leaked now. There was a thread on it a while back... I would tell you how they worked except I use my DuOrb and so I can't control it that way. It looks like the attached picture.

I still deal with this issue almost a year later. When I boot to Windows, it sits at user login screen, and until someone logs in the fans on my cooler DO NOT turn on. Only once someone has logged into Windows do the fans turn on. After you have logged into Windows desktop once you can freely log in and out and the fans will remain active.

Any insight? I am using the latest Riva Tuner

Edit: Kind of makes me sad to think this system build is almost a year old already. :[
