I have some AS5 left but will removing stock paste and adding as5 void visiontek's warranty?

Yes, but they won't take every card apart just to quibble over thermal paste. Provided you put everything back together carefully you should be fine.

Get a third party cooler like the Accelero S1. Problem solved.

Well, in that case the only feasible option would be to replace the stock thermal paste with something better. If you chose to use AS5 be careful it is conductive and can cause a short. Something like OCZ freeze or ceramique is safer. That being said I used AS5 just be careful that it doesn't spread everywhere.

I would definitely get an aftermarket cooler along with RAM heatsinks for it. That's what I plan on doing with my 4850.

do you have a dog or cat? pull the card out and make sure the card isnt clogged with dust, dirt, fur, ect. i have to clean mine out like once a month.... well use to.. got fan filters to fix that lol
edit: everyone says the stock sucks, which, it can, but i never had a problem with it... im running at 30% fan speed with 40C idle/65C load, which i think is fine
