That is not enough CFM for the rated dBA it produces so I purchased 2 standard 100mm Scythe case fans that push 58CFM with a 30.68 dBA. That's only 1dBA more than the 100mm slim fans but with double the CFM.

Both VGA fans are connected to the fan controller my PC-V2110 came with. My 4870 is OC'ed 835/1025, on MAX load with both fans @ 100% the temps never go higher than 48C. Idles at 39C.
Glad it's working out for you

Question:
How big is the new Scythe cooler compared to the stock cooler one?

Thanks for the info. I may look into this. I need to bring my temps down big time with the 1GB 4870.

Just picked this sucker up today. Will put it on this weekend with the dual 100mm Scythe fans rated at around 50CFM with same decibel levels as the stock fans. They are a bit bigger, but seem to fit just fine. And yes, this thing is sexy. My Antec300 case is just too dang hot with this card. I get load GPU temps around 80C with the 4870. Thats unacceptable in my book.

So I installed this thing over the weekend - and WOW! is this thing quiet and cool. Idle temps dropped to sub 40 Celsius with load around 50. Previously my idle was 53 and my load was around 87. Big difference. Oh ya, I can actually hear my speakers now too, since the stock Sapphire Fan was a jet engine at full throttle. I couldnt be happier. Lastly, please make sure you remove the protective plastic from the Heatsink prior to installing... you dont want to know.
