I'd go for the Accelero because I trust them (more experience with them) plus it has 4 heatpipes for heat transfer

I'd go for the TwinTurbo, I hear it cools better.

But I also hear that the Xigmatek VD964 BattleAxe does really well as well.

Out of both of those, I would pick whichever one fits your budget. Scythe, IIRC, owns Arctic Cooling so you most likely will get similar quality products. I also have read that the Accelero S1 Rev. 2 outperforms the Twin Turbo when you mount a 120mm fan on there. I would go with that idea instead.

What do you plan on having on the ram and VRM's ? Both of those just cover the core.

You'll probably get your core to 40C or so with either one of those - but without any cooling your VRM's will be at 120C easy under load.

These do work very well on my 3870's... Going to slap them on my 4870's when they get here for my tech station runs before putting them in my water loop.

I would go with the Accelero because it looks like it exhausts the heat outside the case instead of blowing the heat to the side.

The Accelero. More heat pipes, and I've never heard of that Scythe one before.
