iv got 2 slot fans and a ton of case fans. Other than that, you cant really take off that heatsink, so other than more fans id say your stuck at least for now.

Ah yea that may do it. Those stock coolers sure are crap, im glad i dont have to deal with it anymore. But you dont even need a full cover heatsink for it, just a gpu heatsink will do. Those ram sitting in moving air will keep them more than cool enough.

If your talking about the MEMIO temps, thats normal, theyre always about 10-15c hotter than the others.

That's the memory right, well mines about 96c under load, while core is about 82-84c under load.

GPU cooler, that's definitely the first thing on my list.

I want a cooler that's fully compatible with the 4850 and that won't require any modifying to be done to the cooler or heatsinks to fit properly. I don't mind buying spare heatsinks for the memory and VRM's.

yea, check out newegg and see what they have. You really dont need the ram sinks at all.

I was thinking of getting the ARCTIC COOLING ACCELS1 Rev 2 cooler and attaching a 120mm fan on top of it, what do you think?
