alright so i decided not to get a GTX280, and save up $175.
instead, I got another new HD4870 from Gigabyte, and im installing a DuOrb. I know exactly what to do, i only need to know if the thermal grease REALLY needs 24hrs to set

The adhesive on the RAM sinks?
Or the paste on the GPU? I don't think either need 24 hours. I've used the DuOrb on two cards, and I didn't give either 24 hours.

Well, you won't see your real temps with most thermalpastes because of cure time on the thermal paste, but that's ok.

4.1GHz and counting...

Personally, I wouldn't have gone with a DuOrb for a 4870 if I were you. You're probably going to see some pretty high load temps.
