Does overclocking a X800 xl really make a dif.
Alright i just got a x800 xl(256 RAM) for my brother and he wants me to overclock. Will it make a differance at all? Will it make the games he plays like BF2 and other hardware demanding games perform better (no lag)?
__________________If it does, what are the programs and how much overclocking is safe? And can i just use the heatsink that came with it? Its a ATI brand, not a 3rd party one.

well to be honest ive got a X800 and had it stock looked at the 3d renderer in the omega driver thingy and i got about 600 fps then i OCed the beeyatch to what a stock xtpe would run at and got about an extra 150 fps SO YES IT HELPS!
