Default Need help, just instaled a Zalman VGA cooler

Like the title says.... I have an MSI rx9800 pro and it has a our pin power conector on it, should i still plug it in even though it does not have the stock cooling on it any more. Does it use that power for the card ass well or just the stock heatsink? Thanks...

Just plug the vga cooler fan in the motherboard and your good Is it the VF700 one?

Plug the fan power cord into the mobo. It will allow you to adjust the speed for it in ATI tool.

Sorry for the double post but when i started the computer it started bebping like crazy and a thing on the screen came up saying "please conect the power cable to the radeon 9800"

Don't use the fan controller, just plug it into the video cards connector. You need an external power connector for the graphics card. Check on the back of the card, you will see a power connector for it.

The size of the conector for the Zalman is a different size then the one on the grafics card.

No, the 9800 needs to be plugged into your powersupply, via a four pin connectorty from the power supply. If the Zalman is a 3 pin, plug it into an open 3 pin space on the mobo.
