Default Overclock x1300/x1550

I have a ATI radeon x1300/x1550 on my comp which runs at core speed:594 and memory speed:382.5 normally. I overclocked it to ore speed:661.5 and memory speed:454.5 . I was wondering if someone with this card can tell me if I should increase the clock speeds further. My other graphics card sucks so I REALLY don't want to bust this card.

Don't even worry about over-clocking that card, you will be LUCKY if you push it to the max, and notice ANY increase in performance.

Especially with this being your main card.

Overclocking the CPU would probably give you more performance boost, but if that is an OEM Dell machine you have overclocking is probably out of the question.

Maybe but I want to get maximum performance anyway. I tried overclocking my cpu but the multiplier only goes down for my Amd 64x2 4200+ . I am trying to change the fsb speed but I need some help.

Ok.

Do you have ATI Tool? Then you can at least scan for artifacts, as you push your card higher.

Are you using a Dell computer?

I am using the overclock software that came with omega drivers. I tried to install ati tool but it froze while it was installing. I killed the process and uninstalled it. I will try to reinstall it now. I am using an HP a1540n computer.

I installed ati tool and find max core works fine. Max mem runs fine for some time but then crashes my computer.
