even though my PSU is dead i was messing around and tried installing the zalman cooler, and the damn push pins won't go through it
1. A screw driver (you have to remove the entire stock cooler before you can get to the screws that connect the fan housing and the heatsink)
2. Much lower than it was with the RAM sinks that the Musashi included.

See my attached pics.

I was just browsing and found these articles.

http://xtreview.com/addcomment-id-91...-Rad2-GTX.html
"Thermalright also proposes special solutions for cooling the power elements of radeon HD 4870 and Radeon HD 4890 video card"

http://en.expreview.com/2009/06/03/t...ia-gtx200.html
^ one says for nvidia 200 series but, Interesting thing in that article is it is dated June 3rd, 2009 and says "it is expected to enter into mass production next month according to Thermalright official".

So it if that's the case then maybe the 4890 will actually get a cooler on the market soon.

I would get it in a heart beat it they made a all copper one and can mount a 100mm - 120mm fan.

If your videocard doesn't die on you within the first few days of use you don't have to worry about the warranty.

XFX allows you to add an aftermarket cooler

even if they didn't you could just put the old cooler on before you RMA

So I just goy my 4890 yesterday, factory OCed to 925/1050. What are some safe temps for that to run under load, and what should the ambient be? My case has like... 6 fans now. They're so cheap! But I want to know if an aftermarket cooler is necessary.
Also, can you run crossfire with these?
