My Saphire 4870x2 as we all know gets very hot. I live in Cali and its a heatwave and now the card starting to get hotter. Especially since I have had it a few months and its collected dust and not too friendly when trying clean it out. My card was running idle around 71C till I dusted it out and now its back down to 52C idle.
__________________My question is what water cooling setup should I use. New to water cooling but perfectly willing to spend the time and money into what I need and cutting apart my e-peen case to do it. Solution 1: Danger Den DD-4870-X2 Full Cover Waterblock for RADEON HD4870X2 Solution 2: Swiftech MCW60-R2 GPU Waterblock x2 w/Swiftech Caldera Full-Coverage Heatsink (for MCW60) The main issue I have with solution two is how to setup the loop. Res > Pump > GPU 1 > Radiator > GPU 2 > Res Is that okay to do? Trying to prevent the obvious U shape bend from GPU 1 and 2 direct connect.

I would just get the single full cover water block as to avoid having to worry about getting water to 2 blocks...
This is what i would do and im sure others will have there opinions.... Pump-rad-GPU-Pump..... i would just use a T line if you are just going to have a loop for you GPU....

I have heard a few problems with the blocks needing pads to make contact some of the board. Is that the case with the DD or EK HS?
