Default Xigmatek Battle-Axe with 4850

How would the Xigmatek Battle-Axe do vs stock cooling on my 4850. I can get them at $15 each so would it be worth it over my stock cooling (both my cards use non-reference cooling).

I had always heard it performed similarly to the duorb. I tried to get one, but the availability has always been limited. If you can get them for $15, I say GO FOR IT. My duorb keeps my 4850 nice and chilly (50C load clocked at 700 core) so I would say under 60C on the battle axe is the WORST case scenario.

EDIT - I don't think you can use 2 of these in crossfire.

Don't forget that Battle-Axes are HUGE!

I think they take up two additional bays besides the one the card is in!

Oh wow those are to big then, my board only has one space between the two PICE slots, so I guess those won't work then.

Thanks everyone for the help, +rep to everyone.

It is a great cooler, but Du-Orb would be your best bet for bang for buck!

I hadn't heard that before. Even if that's true though they did something right, because it still gets impressive numbers, even more so due to the fact that for a very long time you could get them for like $20 from MicroCenter when they were still being made.

Would I be able to use one of these on the bottom card and another cooler on the top? If so what cooler is good and is two slots max?
