Played the Crysis demo yesterday for about 30 minutes. Got up to 78c on stock clocks

No, Mine got that quite often. The easiest way to alleviate the problem is just turn up the fan speed a hair.

i have my fan always around 40-60% and on load its about 57 degrees! its getting pretty hot here too.1 i onl have fans in my room!

I just installed my new HIS 4890 last night. I forget what the idle was (low 50's?)... but at stock - the load temps were 82 C according to CCC.....
Nothing crashed after using BOINC app for couple hours - so then I upped it up to 950 core clock over night, 100% fan... and temps only raised to 84 C...... I'll update more when I have more data.. My HIS 4870 never got that high, I had it 830/1050 and it would max at 78-79 degrees then get unstable.. Not particularly worried as long as it doesn't crash, and I was impressed how 100 Mhz overclock only raised it 2C
