Default HD 4850 Temp Issues.

I've noticed my HD 4850 Temps have been getting worser and worser over time, when I first bought it (around this time last year) the Idle temps were around 40-45, and Load Temps around 60-70 on 50% fan speed. Now my 4850 runs at around 60c Idle, and 85-95c with 100% fan speed, what happened there?

Replace the thermal paste and clean the cooler. Also is it the regular single slot version?

Yes it is the regular single slot one, I'm guessing it could be dusty inside there?, how do i take the plastic cover off the card?

It could just be real dirty, give it a good cleaning and put some OCZ freeze on it.

mines was like this as well what I did was took the video card out and use compressed air can to blow the dust that was built up in it out from the other end(vga/hdmi end). I then used toothpick to pick out all the dust built up inside near the fan(it was really thick with dust/particles built up over 1 year lol.)

That is if you happen to have the stock cooler that comes with the card you would get this issue and have to clean out the dust. My temps went back to 45c idle after the cleanup.
