Default 4890 max 'safe' temps

Hi,

I am wanting to see how far my card goes in overclocking. it is currently 950mhz core 1050mhz memory factory overclocked but i want to try and push it further.

wat are the max safe temps for load with these cards?

I don't have any personal experience but it is something around 75-80C and by the way, what temperatures are you having right now?

running in crossfire core temps
about 43-46 idle on 1st card, 39-43 idle on 2nd card
66-71 load on 1st card, 58-66 load on 2nd card

1st card fan speed is 70%, 2nd is 65% (2nd card gets some air from 1st so its cooler)

can barley hear them over other case/cpu fans. if both cards are 80% or higher then i really start to hear them.
the noise isnt bothering me either, its 'soothing' and cant hear them over game noise

Just cut your ears off and you can run them at 100% for 24/7 use without annoying noise. And about your temperatures: they are just fine!

I read somewhere, 106*C for 4870's... I dont know if that is a believable figure, but should be ok at around 80-85*C max (or max for my taste). I personaly would, as said earlier, stay below 75-80.
