I got 2 4870 1GB cooled by the Sapphire own design cooler:
![]() The problem is that while folding one card alone without the other card being around its hits 90C with 45% fan. This is worse then my 4850 with single slot cooler. I have a Twin Turbo but the problem is that the second card cant take one cause PSU space issue. I am now looking for the best option for dual slot that's out there.

Even with my nvidia cards I have to have the fans @ 100% to keep the cards below 70*C. Just crank the fan speed up to about 65/70% and I bet your temps will come down rather quickly.

Leave the fan control on auto. I have that same card, and gaming runs @ ~63c full load in Crysis -.-
Fan will auto throttle to ~60% fan speed automatically.

Now i have it @ 85% and my temps are 80C folding. Though my ambient temp is 29C.
Edit: Just looked at the prices for HR-03 and its way too much.

Is there any way to lower your ambient temps? I know it can be difficult, but if you have a window in the room you're in, put a fan in there sucking the hot air out. Even if it only drops 4 or 5*C that'll be more than enough to drop you to ~70*C possibly less. PS: And yes your card will probably be loud as hell @ 100% but that is the price you pay to have run @ 100% load. PPS: I have seen some GPU's with the Tt orbs on them. Heres the blue orb 2 $19.99 shipped. Being that its a thermaltake, if you do buy it, lap it even before you install, and make sure it'll fit. Good luck
