Running cards in crossfire puts alot more heat onto both cards?

With my motherboard - there is a 2 PCI slot gap between cards - and there is no card between them

Yes that is true, but also the fan on the top card is sucking the hot air between card 1 and 2.
The air in between the 2 cards are the "trapped" air that we are talking about. That trapped air is ususally hotter than the air in your case because the heat that was produced from the back of the 2nd card.

Sorry OP - i have sort of hijacked this thread....
![]() I have a fan there - and none of my PCI slots are blanked.....so there isnt much if at all any heat "trapped" there

thats ok scottath
i was thinking of putting a 120mm fan at the end of the cards (where the power connectors are) that blow onto them (i have an antec 1200 case and have that internal fan holder that came with the case) would this help in pushing the air out of the case at all, decreasing temps? |
