Default Recommend a Cheap/Good Cooler for ASUS 4850

As the title says, can some one recommend a cooler for a 4850, thats under 30 bucks shipped. I keep getting game crashes, I think my stock cooler is letting it overheat, I turned the fan up to 80%, to see if that helps. Either Which way I think a new cooler would be best bet for the longevity of this card.

well, if the game crashes to desktop, it can be a ram or a oc issue... but since you are asking for a new gpu cooler under 30 bucks, ill help ya out.

I am going to run a few stability test to see whats up, i have passed 12hours + or prime and 6+hours of OCCT with my current settings, and my GPU is at stock clocks. So hopefully nothin is going faulty.

Try taking the stock cooler off, replacing the TIM with OCZ Freeze or MX-2 and try again.

Also, put some on the memory chips and stuff too.

I would recommend saving the thermal tape that's on the memory. It establishes a connection that isn't there with just TIM because there's a slight gap between it and the heatsink.

And if you redo the GPU, don't miss anything at all. Make sure to get 100% coverage.
