4890s can stand a lot more heat, you're fine until you hit 95C+ where you should be a bit worried.

I would say you're ok with those temps. Just cable manage and dust.

The gpu maybe can stand it but I seriously cant, I tried to set it on 50% and it was too loud. It is heating up my room like crazy. I leave fan on auto. My case is brand new and the card is also brand new. There is no significant dust and the cable management is good and to add to that the side panel is off + 140mm intake and 120mm and 140mm outtake.

I previously had a 4850 that idled at 45'c didnt have it for too long cause it was faulty got a refund and bought a HIS 4890 and its running way too hot for my preference.

Heat is one of the reasons I changed from my 8800GT to a 4850 and then to a 4890 and I am disappointed in it. Atleast my 8800GT was single slot so the heat would stay in the case this one spews it all over my room increasing room temp significantly. It operates like the central heating in the house

50% isn't loud but it isn't silent

either get an aftermarket cooler or headphones

i use an aftermarket but when I used my stock I would set it to 35% idle and 60% gaming, but i'd wear headphones and it would cancel all the sound out

also : furmark presses cards way too hard, far more than any game will...play crysis for an hour and use that as a temp gauge

Playing crysis my 4890 reaches about 75-78
CoD 4 : 68-70.

Idle is always near the 60 (fan control on auto).

I've just put the fan on 50%, and it instantly decreased to 50, and still dropping.
But damn, this thing is loud :P.

All of these temps above are within normal range and nothing to worry about. Play on.

That sounds about normal. When I first got my ASUS EAH4890 VoltageTweak, those are around the same temperatures I was getting with an ambient of 26C. If those are to high for your liking, you can always go with some aftermarket cooling like the Scythe Musashi, the Thermalright T-Rad2 GTX, or the Arctic Cooling Accelero Twin Turbo.
