Default XFX 4870X2 & Accelero XTREME 4870X2 temp help

Hi there

This is one of my first posts. And im not sure if it its already up, but i need some help regarding temps on my card.

Is that normal with such a big difference in the temps from GPU to GPU?
See screenshot.

Last question, is the back of the card really hot on your cards?
I would quess it is around 60-70 degrees. Ofc only when full load.

maybe the fan on the hot gpu isn't running at the same speed

does that temperature difference stay even when under full load?

Double post from this thread
http://www.overclock.net/ati/381284-...ml#post7239616

I've managed to have my 4870x2 cooled down a bit.

High load with 100%fan is getting me about 45C per core and 65 per VRM!
I was suffering a lot from high VRM temps and huge noise level with this monster card and ****ty stock cooler. I've payed 100bucks to get ArcticCooling Accelero Xtreme 4870x2 cooler and after a month of experiments with grease, pads I am having 65C maximum. I had 100C before this cooler all over the printboard, all sensors were giving me ~100C when playing crysis and the damn jet-plane sound was driving me crazy. Now I do not hear my PC when I turn it on! 25% fan level without load keeps my 4870x2 silent and when I turn fan 100% it starts to blow like shhhhhh very very low noise level. Playing Crysis I don't even notice it - not comparable with the stock cooler's wwzzzzzzzoooooooo.

My word is get this Accelero Xtreme thing and put the stock cooler on a shelf. Just do not forget about the 'screw problem' (it is solved in new edition of accelero, old ones require 8 additional M2x8 screws not to crush your GPUs). You will also have to replace the already applied to accelero cooler market grease probably, mine was too dry and place 1 additional pads overs VRM chip between GPUs (take it from the old cooler). Without this additional manipulations I was having 85C on VRMs with new cooler but all the other sensors were showing 30-50. And now I have only 45/65 at VRMs and all the others 35/45 idle/load.

More info here but read carefully there are some errors with corrections after:
